Principal - Leoni Sullivan BA(Hons) AISTD

Studio Principal & Director Leoni Sullivan began dancing at the popular De Burnay's Dance Centre before continuing her training full time at SLP College, United Kingdom.

Injury forced early retirement and although she took time out to heal Leoni returned to the studio and completed major & vocational exams with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) & the Imperial Society for Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) with whom she earned her teaching qualification.

Leoni is also an Affiliate teacher with the Australian Teachers of Dancing.

Alongside her dancing, Leoni has earned a BA Honours degree in History with Sociology & studied for a Postgraduate Diploma in Politics & Contemporary History before arriving in New Zealand in 2013.

After teaching with other schools in Queenstown, Leoni established Lakes Theatre Arts in 2016.

In 2021, Leoni choreographed Legally Blonde: The Musical for Showbiz Queenstown. The show went on to be the most successful in Showbiz history & Leoni was nominated for an Otago-Southland Theatre Award. 

2023 has seen Leoni welcomed into the New Zealand Adjudicators community, judging dance competitions around the country.
